Bio

I studied at Sardar Patel Vidyalaya (1993-1999),  St. Stephen's College (1999-2002), and Harvard (2002-2008), where I got my PhD.  I worked at the Harish-Chandra Research Institute (2008-2012) for several years, and I remain an adjunct faculty member there. I now work at the International Centre for Theoretical Sciences, which is part of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research.

Obviously, none of my views on this site have anything to do with the official positions of these institutions.

I've lived in several places including Pune, Indore, Delhi, Boston, Mumbai and Allahabad, and now Bengaluru.

I work in theoretical physics; my research is in the area of quantum gravity and quantum field theory. If you are a student, or someone else looking to contact me for academic reasons, you should see my home page at ICTS for more details.

I'm also an activist, and the articles on this site should give you a sense of my views on various issues. Lately, I've written a lot on the subject of India's nuclear expansion, and if you came here looking for information on that, then you might want to look at this (incomplete) list of articles.
